Directions:

The Natural Health Hut is located two miles west of I-75 and State Rd 54 in Wesley Chapel, Florida. From I-75, take exit 279 (State Rd 54) and go west. Turn right at the 2nd traffic light, Old Pasco Rd. Take the 3rd left, Dayflower Blvd. Take the 1st right, Angus Valley Dr. Take the 2nd left, Chianina Dr. When you pass the 20 mph sign, turn into the 3rd driveway on the right (with the purple mailbox). Drive straight into the parking area and park there. You will see the Educational Pavilion to the left.

Herb Walk

Time: 9am to 12pm

  The HERB WALK will feature a walk through the 7-acre Herb Farm and Florida Forest Reserve.

  • Rose Kalajian-Herbalist will identify 29 plants growing around the property and discuss their medicinal properties and uses.
  • There will be a demonstration on harvesting, drying, and storing herbs.
  • You will tour the Natural Health Hut Herbal Clinic, where humans (of all ages), horses, dogs and cats are guided to wellness with herbs.
  • Breakfast (vegetarian) is included and served at 9am.
  • Snacks and herb teas will be available through out the morning.
  • Handouts, clipboards, and pens are provided .

PRICE: $20.00 ~ Limited to approximately 20 students (children 16 and under are free)

CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS

  • Hiking boots or sneakers.
  • Long sleeve shirts and long pants that are made with a thin material. The idea is to protect us from insects and bushes with thorns, and still be cool and comfortable.
  • Hats and umbrellas to shade you from the sun are recommended.
